Member Profile
As an executive coach to CEOs of venture capital backed companies, Peter Dupont helps both new and seasoned leaders, and their teams, advance their performance to enhance company growth and profitability.
With a passion for client success and an extensive background in a broad range of business environments, coaching engagements have included top executives backed by leading venture firms including Kleiner Perkins, Delphi Ventures, Mohr Davidow, Firelake Capital and Synergy Life Science Partners.
Why Coaching?
Securing capital from sophisticated investors requires that a CEO possess significant confidence and specific strengths. Often these leaders are skilled in engineering or product development, but may have little experience in day-to-day operations or in guiding a company through significant transitions and rapid growth.
Adjusting to the demands and expectations of the venture community and company boards create challenges and frustrations for CEOs from diverse cultural and/or professional backgrounds. Within these complex business environments, the CEO often lacks internal or external support during the most critical times in his company’s development.
An effective coach brings an outside perspective, a high level of direct and non-judgmental honesty and a mutually accountable commitment to enhance professional development.
