Peter M. Dickstein
Strategic Advisor to Emerging Companies

Peter provides customized strategic advisory services to venture capital-backed companies and their developing CEOs.  His focus is helping client companies to mitigate risk and optimize performance by teaming with senior leadership to address key management, strategic, operational and financial issues.

He brings to his clients 25+ years of experience and a national network of management talent, investors and service providers.  Recent roles and activities include the following:

* Founder and CEO of eProsper, a successful software company acquired by Silicon Valley Bank.

* CFO of several successful medical technology companies including Endotex Interventional Systems acquired by Boston Scientific.

* Visiting Entrepreneur at Los Alamos National Laboratory where he identified and helped to commercialize several technologies and led the planning process for the Los Alamos Venture Acceleration Fund.

* Advisor to CEOs of multiple successful venture-backed companies.

Peter has broad and deep experience and a track record of success in the following focus areas:

* General management and team building (business development, marketing, technology and finance and operations).

* Strategic/transactional planning, structuring and negotiation (M&A, equity, debt and asset-backed financing, strategic/IP partnering).

* Software product/service development and positioning.

* Finance, accounting and operations (infrastructure and outsourcing).

His present clients are in the healthcare and cleantech industries in California, Texas and New Mexico. 

Peter serves as a Trustee and Officer of the San Francisco Day School as well as a Director of a Santa Fe, NM Web search company.  He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from the Wharton School. Peter lives in San Francisco with wife Lisa and their children Jackson and Tess.  When not working with his clients he enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, biking, traveling and cheering his children on at soccer and basketball games.
